EF 24-70L won't zoom to 24mm

My Canon EF 24-70L has developed a problem — it stops zooming aroung 28mm. I don't want to force it but it will not zoom to 24mm. The Canon website says they no longer support this lens for repair. Can anyone suggest a reliable repair facility in the NJ area?

Ask a local camera shop as I expect they have a resource. Most if not all the big camera stores in New York have repair facilities. For a good mail order try Midwest Camera Repair.
