Difference in wide angle or macro 35mm lens vs 24-105mm

Hello! I am interested in a 35mm either wide angle or macro. I have a Canon RF 24-105, Redline series, and was wanting to know if there is a huge difference between the lens I have, and either of the 35mm lenses. I would appreciate any guidance you can give me. Thank you!

Note that your zoom lens already has a 35mm focal length within its range.  So the only two reasons to go with a 35mm prime lens (assuming that's what you're looking at) would be the wider aperture (f/1.8) and that it is a macro lens.

Wider apertures allow you to work with lower light-levels and/or blur the background more.   Macro lenses allow you to get very close and small subjects can fill the entire frame.

Try this, set your current lens to 35mm and put a piece of gaffers tape on it so it won't move off 35mm. Live with it for a few shoots. Unless like Ricky opined, if the faster aperture is what you need I bet you find the current zoom is far better
