Marc,

Came across this where?  Can you share the context?  Are you referring to the turn-around time?

Hi,

I was booking my lens in to CPS UK and it came up with all lens types for canon 400mm f2.8 - Mark I Mark 2 and this one  400mm F2.8 L SET USM II.

I never seen this before so i wrote it down for me to look up when I got back to the office.

Could not find  any reference at all

Thanks,

Marc

I have no idea what you are talking about but I will guess the "SET"  you saw is a corruption of "IS".

EB
EOS 1D, EOS 1D MK IIn, EOS 1D MK III, EOS 1Ds MK III, EOS 1D MK IV and EOS 1DX and many lenses.

Don't think your an expert on this kind of lens.
As I said in my last post-Mark 1 and 2 are IS USM lens. This one said SET.

Who can be an expert on Imaginary lenses?

Here is a list of the initials that Canon puts on their lenses:

L

IS

USM

STM

DO

I

II

(I think I got them all)

Note that SET is not amoung them. I suggest you ask at the UK CPS.

ETA:

DO

Just for fun, I tried the US Canon service site:

No SET here.

Will do. Just wanted to check if any new what it was. that's all !!

I have info to. thanks

If you find out, let us know.
