There's probably a bunch of posts like this but awhile of looking didn't find a recent one..
Bought a T7 package in May '21, am a casual user, take pics on holidays, wildlife around the neighborhood and in the parks around the city.
The 70-300 lens is stuck, zoom in and out is sticky and only rotates to about the 100mm spot.
Any idea what is up, and is it repairable? I mean, only been 22 months of occasional use...

Did you mean the EF 75-300mm lens. That's what's usually bundled in 2 lens kit Rebel cameras. Not the EF 70-300mm lens. The lens should be sent to Canon for repair.

Would the lens have any kind of warranty or a return policy? I bought a T7 kit about five years ago and had the 75-300mm lens. So far, I haven't had any problem but the week isn't over.

Hold on there not so fast.
"The lens should be sent to Canon for repair."
A bad idea and advice. If it is the EF 75-300mm it is not a good candidate for repair as repair could come close to or exceed the cost of replacement. Actually pretty likely too. Make sure you ask first or get an estimate.
Best hope for you is if it is still under warranty.

That's why I asked the OP for confirmation of the lens.

Yeah, had asked a local camera shop who said same thing. just checking around here to be sure as they were pretty quick to say they had one in stock I could have for less than a repair job. Still a little peeved a lens would go bad that soon.

They aren't built to take very rough treatment. A lot depends on how you used it. I hear ya though, two years isn't very long at all. In some of my photography classes, I have parents tell me they let the little ones play with the camera/lens and somehow they don't work now. You just never know.
If you buy a new one keep that in mind and it will last for a longer time. Best to keep'em in a case too. If you buy used check it out carefully before you lay your money down.
