solution menu ex will not display when application is started

I reinstalled my Canon MG5320 software and drivers multiple times, and neither the Solution Menu EX nor the MP Navigator EX 5.0 screens appear with the applications start. I have no way to change the destination file for my scanned images.

The problem was a leftover Dell All in One folder in the twain_32 folder. After removing those old Dell files, the Canon software installed correctly.

 

This looks like a problem experienced by many users.
