printer has alarm light and error code 3. can not get rid of it. new ink cart. usb connected. running windows 8. also comes up on comp. screen saying paper jam. there is no paper ran through it. pressing sto[ and reset does nothing.

Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If the issue still persist, the printer will require service.
