pixma mx892 will not print black ink,

New ink cartidges, cleaned nozzles several times, still no black

To try and resolve the issue, please ensure that any tape that may be on the bottom of the ink tanks has been removed, then perform a print head alignment on the printer following the steps here.  If you still experience difficulty, please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.

Was told by support to take in for repair.  Barely out of warranty and second Canon printer to take a dive just out of warrantry.  Replaced with another brand.  I will not be buying or recomending this brand ever again.

The black text isn't printing for me either.  If I print photo black, it seems to print.  I've replaced the ink and done an alignment.  I guess I'm out of luck, since I don't remember when I bought it, but I know I didn't buy it that long ago.  This sucks!
