I bought a new lenovo desk top with Windows 8.1. It can print but will not scan. I have removed printer from computer and removed the cannon software. I then down loaded the newest cannon software that is supposed to be compatible with the 8.1.. I turned the computer off. Then restarted computer but it still will not scan. the printer message is "processing please be patient". Nothing happens. any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I called Microsoft but they said I need to identify the software from Canon. Here I am. Hoping for a solution.
