mg3520 printing blank pages.

i am trying to print a 5x7 photo on glossy photo paper. I am using the Canon android printing app on my wireless device to send the photo to the printer.  it keeps only printing a blank page. please tell me what i am doing wrong

Are you able to print the photo successfully if the plain paper option is selected instead of the glossy photo paper?
