ix6800 stops responding to windows 10 computer

My ix6800 has a long-standing problem printing from my Windows 10 laptop. (There's no problem printing from our Macbook.) Inconsistently ,the printer stops responding and the only remedy is to reboot some combination of the printer, router or laptop. Suggestions?
