i960 Won't Print on macOS Ventura

I have just connected a new i960 canon printer to replace the exact printer I have used for 12 years. My imac using Ventura 13.2.1 sees the printer but will not print. Suggestions most welcome

Hi!  The PIXMA ip960 series is an older model family which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
