how to update firmware

hello.  Where can I go to update the current firmware on my Canon MG6820?  My printer is not recognizing paper and therefore I cannot print on a letter size piece of paper.

Hi cyndilouhoo,

Please follow these steps to update the firmware:

1. From the Home screen of your PIXMA MG6820, swipe the screen until to see Setup and select that item.

2. Select Device Settings.

3. Select Firmware Update.

4. Select Update Firmware.

Follow the prompts to update the firmware of your PIXMA MG6820.

Once installed, please make sure that your PIXMA MG6820 is set to the corect paper:

 1.  From the Home screen of your PIXMA MG6820, swipe the screen until to see Setup and select that item.

 2.  Select Device Settings.

 3.  Select Cassette settings.

 4.  Select Register cassette paper info.

 5.  Select cassette 1.

 6.  Select Letter for Page size and Plain for Type and press OK.

 7.  Select Next.

 8.  Press the Home button.
