Good point!  Using canon MX922

Hi singingmertz,

One option you can try as a workaround is to disable the ipv6 setting on your printer. Please follow the steps below:

  1. On the printer, press Menu.
  2. Select  Setup, then press OK.
  3. Select  Device settings, then press OK.
  4. Use the up / down arrow buttonsUPDOWN to scroll to LAN settings, then press OK.
  5. Scroll to Other settings, then press OK.
  6. Scroll to TCP/IP settings, then press OK.
  7. Scroll to IPv6, then press OK.
  8. Scroll to select Yes at confirmation screen [LAN communication may be disabled depending on your environment. Set this setting?] then press OK.
  9. Scroll to Enable/disable IPv6, then press OK.
  10. Scroll to Disable, then press OK.
  11. This returns you to IPv6 settings menu. Press MENU to exit to the main menu.

If this does not resolve the issue, I recommend contacting Microsoft to see if there is any security software running that is blocking the scanner driver.
