canon mx492 not responding

so...i've got a canon mx492 printer. when the power cable is plugged in, the middle light flashes 1 time, the light above the "on" button flashes 2 times, then the light on the far right above the triangle shape turn a solid orange. nothing on the printer display. the driver is nowhere to be found on my laptop. when usb cable is connected, it just stays at unknown device.

no response from the printer what so ever when pushing different buttons on the printer.

i don't know what the problem could be. was working fine yesterday.

Hi niconez,

Please open the front cover and attempt to remove both ink cartridges.  If you are unable to, that is OK.

Next, please disconnect all cables connected to your PIXMA MX492.

Reconnect the power cord to a different outlet and reconnect to the printer.

Once connected, please turn your PIXMA MX492 on.
