cannot communicate with printer

MG 3122 printer. where would one find this bi-directional support properties dialog box. this thing is headed for the trash

Hi dabba,

Bi-directional support can be enabled in the printer driver.

1. Press the Windows logo in the lower left of your screen.
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Select "Devices and Printers."
4. Right-click your printer icon.
5. Select "Printer Properties."
6. Select the "Ports" tab.
7. Check the "Enable bi-directional support box.
8. Press "Apply."

that box was already checked. still cant communicate with printer

Hi dabba,

"Enable bi-directional support" is a Windows setting.  If the error persists after changing the setting, you may need to contact Microsoft for resolution.  I regret any inconvenience.
