Why won't my mp495 scan after I just installed the latest drivers?

I just installed the latest driviers for the prixma mp495 and my scanner won't scan on os10

Hi folger,

Are you using Mac OSX v10?  If so, what version of 10 are you using; 10.9, 10.10 or 10.11?

Or are you using Windows 10?

Are you using your PIXMA MP495 with a USB cable or are you using your PIXMA MP495 wirelessly?

I am using windows 10 and USB port

Hi vbtootsie,

Please try the following:

 1.  Click on the Windows Start button and then All Apps.

 2.  Click on Canon Utilities, MP Navigator EX and then MP Navigator EX to open that program.

 3.  Point to Scan/Import and click Photos/Documents (Platen).

 4.  Place the document or photo on the Platen, then select the type of item to be scanned next to Document Type.

 5.  Click Scan.

Are you able to scan using the MP Navigator EX?
