Hello nrbernstein!

Welcome to the Canon Forums and thanks for your post!

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know how many times the light is blinking in a row before it "pauses" and starts blinking again.  Also, are there any error messages being displayed?  Could you also please advise the community if you were in the middle of a print job or if this occurred before or after printing?  This way, the community will be able to assist you with suggestions appropriate for your product.

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks!

The green light blinks off and on constantly and does not "Pause" I was  not  in the middle of printing when this occured .

Hi nrbernstein,

Please remove and reseat the ink cartridges in the printer, then turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on.  If the problem continues, the printer will require servicing.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.
