Why is Pixma MG7150 printing dark and dull colours

I have just set up the Canon Pixma MG7150,for which I paid £149 in the UK.This is replacement for my MP620 which was great.The colour printing of my artwork is dark and dirty.Yellow ocre is coming out beige and white backgrounds grey.Intensity setting is 0.Printing from i photo is the same.How do I get fresh colours?

i'm having trouble in that my prints look great on the screen and look natural with no editing (from my Nikon D5200 but the prints are dark and dull as above. i was thinking of recalibrating my monitor but i have to be sure that is the problem first as my previous printer (Epson) did not have this problem.   Any ideas/advice please.
