TS9120 broken carriage

 I had just printed one document and sent another from my phone but started getting error codes. Opened it up and found the above piece lying by the carriage. There is also ink spatter. 

Is this from a replaceable component or is this printer kissed?

Not sure what that is exactly.  I would contact Canon.  The printer has a 1 yr warranty.
