Can anyone help out there?
Brand new out of the box - printer seems fine - alignment done - ready to go
Try to open the Canon_IJ setup —says ERROR Enter administrator login details to start this software. I click OK and everything disappears. Round and round for an hour. Try this, online that, driver wont/ isn't needed/ Airprint that
MAC OS 10.13.6 —should work, but the setup installer wont run.
Terribly disappointed.

Greetings,
This is an issue with the settings on your MAC.
Permissions, Gatekeeper or the firewall.
Start here:
Ensure the user you are installing under is an Administrator, not a Standard user.
Ensure Gatekeepker or the firewall is set to allow the software to run,. Apple Menu, System Preferences > Security and Privacy.
The software will run after installiation, unless your security settings are not configured properly with the right permissions or security settings.
