I have a MF4450 multifunction. My Wndows8 computer will not connect during the Scan function. Any suggestions?

Hi joncog1,
There are a couple of suggestions that can be offered to help resolve the issue for you and will depend on a few factors, such as: whether or not the issue occurred upon installing the Windows 8 (x32 or x64) version of the driver and software, or if scanning has been successful under the OS until now; if there is a direct USB connection between your imageCLASS MF4450 and your computer; if an error is displayed in the LCD of your product or on your computer screen when attempting to scan, etc.
However, a common cause of the difficulty can be due to the "scan type" selected when ready to scan. Your laser product offers the following options to place your device in the proper scan mode for communication with your computer:
1. Place your documents.
2. Press [Scan].
3. Press [^] or [v] to select either:
<Computer>
If using the keys on the operation panel, you would select "Computer".
<Remote Scanner>
If you are scanning using either the MF Toolbox software that accompanies your product or an imaging application, you would select "Remote Scanner".
4. Press [OK], and proceed to perform your scan.
If this does not resolve the issue you are experiencing, please feel free to Contact Us for further assistance.

Download the MF Toolbox and this help the scanning functionality direct from the Printer.
