Printer TS3550i not scanning

I am using a TS3550i printer, hardwired to the PC. Using Windows 11.

The printer copies successfully, and prints images and articles  from PC. However, does not scan when asked.

Tried turning off both PC and printer. No difference. Checked for up to date driver.

When clicking scan, get message :-

Cannot connect to printer

Printer turned off

Printer not connected

Both wrong!!

Greetings,

The TS3550i does not appear to be a product intended for sale in the US.  It's availability is Europe and Africa.

Printer worked previously or new issue?  I would suggest installing the printer driver which also includes a driver for the scanner.

PIXMA TS3550i - Canon Europe https://share.google/El4vGVeAnyeG3WxjK

TS3550i MP Driver Ver.1.03 (Windows)

If you connected the printer before installing the driver, I suggest you unplug the printer, remove the printer from your system and restart before running the installer.  **Do not connect the printer until prompted to do so by the installer.

If you need further assistance, I recommend contacting Canon support in the country or region where you reside.
