Printer Pixma TR7820 was working OK until i changed settings to 'Quiet Mode'. Literally took 12 hours to print document. I was able to turn Quiet Mode to OFF; however problem still exists even after reinstalling apps & drivers, etc.. Can't use the printer in this sceanario, & can't find any info anywhere that solves issue. Also, printer constantly does a long cleaning after each print job. Is this normal, OR pertinent to me issue.

Enabling or disabling quiet mode can affect the amount of time a document takes to print once it starts, but it does not affect the time before a document starts printing. The issue you are having is related to something in your environment or installation, not a setting.
For us to troubleshoot the problem, we'll need some basic information.
The version and build of the operating system you're using the printer with.
How is the printer connected and to what?
