Pixma432 won't scan when using adf

My Pixma 432 will not scan when trying to use the adf automatic document feeder. In the display window states "cannot scan through adf " please help me fix this problem

Hello.

Try the following adjustment to see if we can resolve this issue:

1. Press the <Settings> button repeatedly until Copy intensity appears.

2. Press the left or right arrow keys to select Manual adjust and then press the <OK> button.

3. Press the left or right arrow keys to select the Manual adjust option and then press the <OK> button.

4. Press <Back> repeatedly to return to Copy standby mode.

Once this has been done, try scanning from the ADF again.
