Printer is connected to laptop with a USB cable.
Prints way too slow. Starts to print, stops for a while, prints several lines, stops for a while, prints some more lines, and so on. Printed faster when hooked up wirelessly. Can no longer use wireless. How can I make printer faster?
Use Microsoft Windows.

Hi LCD,
The first step would be to reinstall the driver. To do this, please disconnect the USB cable and then follow these steps:
1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter R, then let them go.
2. In the Run window, please type CONTROL PANEL and click OK.
3. Click on View devices and printers (or Devices and printers depending on the view).
4. Right click the Canon MG5700 series printer and left click Remove device. Repeat until all Canon MG5700's are removed.
5. Click on Control Panel in the upper left corner (or the Back button).
6. Click on Uninstall a program (or Programs and features depending on the view).
7. Click 1 time on the Canon MG5700 series MP Drivers and then click Uninstall at the top.
8. Follow the prompts to uninstall the driver.
Once uninstalled, please use the below link to access the downloads for your PIXMA MG5722:
1. On that page, please click on the Select button next to the Canon MG5700 series MP Drivers.
2. Click the Download button. The drivers will download.
3. Once the download is complete, please press CTRL and J on your keyboard to open your downloads folder.
4. Click on "m68n-win-mg5700-1_01-ea34_2.exe" to reinstall the drivers, reconnecting the USB cable when prompted.
Once reinstalled, please attempt to print.
