Pixma MX922 printer- problem making copies

the copy button is illuminated. I am trying to make a copy thru the top feeder, and also tried lifting top and placing face down.

I get a message that says document cannot be scanned from ADF when setting auto intensity or fit to page. 

Have never had this issue before. I am not trying to scan. Again, copy is lit up, not scan. And then I hat black and white and the machine is giving this message.

Hi flygaljan,

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Turn your PIXMA MX922 on.

2. Press the COPY button.

3. Press the button below Print Settings.

4. The first setting is Magnif. Using the left or right arrows, select "Same size".

5. Press the down arrow one time to select Intensity. Use the left or right arrows, select "0".

6. Press OK.

Press the Color or Black Start button to begin copying.
