Pixma MG5450S suddenly printing blanks

siliconglen

Hi

I have a MG5450S which has started printing entirely blank pages. Everything sounds OK as it if is printing but nothing is coming out on the paper.

Have manually checked and replaced all the print cartridges

Rebooted computer

Restarted printer

Performed deep clean

Tried a test page, still blank, no colour or black whatsoever.

Looking for suggestions here as I need a functioning printer and all the shops are closed.

thanks

Still broken. Have power cycled a few times. Some suggestions would be useful including if it's a broken part, which part I might need to order and how to replace it.

I've just recently ordered new ink and it would be a vast waste to have to throw it away unused because newer printers have different catridge types.

Hi, siliconglen!

Thanks for choosing Canon!

Since there appears to be no UK equivalent support and chat forum (why not?), please consider my problem in the context of the  MG5420: which is the US equivalent model.

If a  MG5420: stops printing, what do you do?

thank you

due to the poor support here, I have decided to buy a replacement from a different manufacturer.

Great job, Canon!

My replacement from a competitor has arrived.

Poor job, Canon
