I can scan in "document" mode but when I scan in "photo" mode, a "?" shows up in Image Garden instead of the photo. It used to work fine.

The system is Mac OS X Yosemite. Hope anyone has an idea about this! I'm not able to scan photos at all in photo mode (vs doc). Thanks.

Hi dgdamon,
As I understand that your printer model is MX922 and you have a Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10). When performing a scan, the "Photo" option scans the picture to a "?" symbol.
Kindly try this,
1) Go to your "Spotlight" and search "IJ Scan Utility"
2) In the application, select "Settings/Preferences"
3) On the left panel, select "Photo Scan" and check the file format. (it should be jpeg)
4) Apply the setting.
Hope it helps,
Best Regards,
KahVeen

Thank you KahVeen, but it was already set to jpeg so there was nothing to change and it's still doing the same thing. Frustrating!
