Pixma 7720,OCR question, and scanner has wrong date/time, appends date to name

The date created, date modified, and time are all incorrect.  It appends the (wrong) date to the name.  I am scanning wirelessly to a Macbook which has no date problems for anything else.

The software opening up is My Image Garden.  Is it posssible to scan directly into Neat Software from the scanner?  I guess i could always import the PDFs in but it's an extra step. 

I just want to scan my documents as they come in and OCR them. And have the proper date/time created in the file metadata.  Suggestions welcome.  Thank you
