I was just informed via attempt to download drivers for my perfectly working canon ip2600, But canon decided to scrape my printer for me, this printer has been and is infalable and has worked perfectly everytime I ever used it. but now you retired it and thus it won't work with my new computer, so pay attention to the customer next time, return customers is what keeps a company in business. and I'm sorry for being a little huffed about it and as good as this printer is............ I wouldn't bet I'll be a return customer

Greetings,
The IP 2600 is 20 years old. Now think about the last 20 years of service you've gotten from that printer. All the pages it's printed and never let you down. If you've received 20 yrs of service, you should be thrilled.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got, penmiester. The PIXMA iP2600 is an older model from 2008 which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!

I have Windows 11 and I am using the W8 64 bit driver, went through the install manually, selected the location on my system drive (where I had installed the drivers) and the printer works like a charm. I see no reason to get rid of an item because it's "old". My printer works like a charm and thankfully I stocked up on ink a while back.

Greetings ,
Excellent example of what to do (try) when a device has been retired. 😀
