PIXMA TS5120 would not print due to door open alarm

pixma ts5120 would not print due to door open alarm but eevrything is closed. I tried restarting a few times but it is still not working. I can still do scan and copy but not printing

I am having the exact same issue and it is driving me crazy. I have spent literally hours because I spent a fortune on more ink. I don't want to waste the ink otherwise I just go and buy another printer!

I was able to print for a few hours yesterday but pre and post that I kept getting the door open message on my laptop.

There is no error code on the printer itself. The printer appears to be fine. It is when you go to print that print fails because "door open" "your printer needs attention" pops up.
