I have a Pixma TS3720 which I got in November. Had no trouble setting up and did some printing with no problem.
Have not printed in months. Tried on Saturday and got message that printer is offline.
Have called ISP Provider. They tell me that I look good on their end. It is not my internet. Spent a lot of time with Apple but they are not experts on printers but my computer soes not appear to be the problem.
I have watched hours of youtube videos. Have done lots and lots of trouble shooting. Still printer will not connect to wi fi. Wi fi will not lite up.
I can see the wi fi symbol and the bars in the panel window.
My black ink is low. I have the lite on black ink but I have color ink. Could that be the problem?
I have tried to print and document was sent but i get message that pinter is not connecting or something like that.
I will call Canon tomorrow but can the Community help me?
I have tried hours of trouble shooting. Trouble shooting has gone well but still no wi fi on printer

Your printer needs a 2.4ghz wifi signal or it will not see your network. A USB printer cable is a very inexpensive tool to help remedy connection problems.

Hi DerrickL
I spent hours on the phone with Canon today. Did all sorts of things. Spoke to three Reps. Last Rep feels that the problem is I am low or out of black ink. Paper is grabbed and prints out with nothing on page.
I am waiting for Amazon to bring me the cartridges. Hope Rep is correct. Will be real unhappy if I change cartridges and still nothing.
did get message from printer that I am out of ink.

I agree with the tech about the ink.

Unfortunately I was so tired from the entire situation that I bought the wrong ribbon. Not necessarily wrong but not what I wanted. I wanted to buy the Canon brand but bought another one that is compatible. I bought two blacks rather than one black or one black and one color.
I am getting ready for cataract surgery and may not be able to change it until this weekend but I may try this morning. I wil let you know.

no luck. I changed the black ink. The black ink light has gone out on my printer. I sent something to rpinter. It grabbed the paper and printed out a paper but nothing on it.
Maybe I need to check the ink again.
sent something to printer. got message that printer may be out of ink and message that printer is not responding.
going to check the ink again

still not printing. I am able to send a document to the printer. Continue to get message that printer is out of ink even though the ink light is no longer lit up on sidplay or get the message that the printer is not responding.
paper gets grabbed and prints out but only blank pages.
I cannot call canon until next week but I am resigned that I will probably have to buy a new printer or live without a printer.
Next week I may buy new ink, Canon brand and both black and color. Will also continue to try my own trouble shooting.
have gotten configuration page and it says that all is good.

I had something like this happen when using a third party ink cartridge. Try printing a nozzle check and if it is not correct run a deep cleaning. I suspect your print head may be clogged with dried ink from no use for a long time.
Here is the guide to print a nozzle check:

Here is the guide to perform print deep head cleaning:

Run another nozzle check after the deep cleaning. Let us know the results.

Hi DerrickL
Finally is has been solved just now.
I am worn down and I do not even know how to explain what the issue was.
When I went to Printers and Scanners on System Settings, I had to add a printer. I was putting in the correct IP number but the name of my printer was not coming up.
The rep from Canon let me know that that was an issue. The name of my printer should have been coming up and they felt that I needed to call Apple. They felt that it was an Apple problem.
So I call Apple again and when I went to add a printer, my page said something about generic printing. That had to be changed to Air Print. I did so. Name of my printer came up alongside my IP address and I was able to print.
I have been dealing with this situation since Saturday morning non stop. I am so exhausted that I can not explain my exhaustion.
