PIXMA TR8620a asking for admin password

I have a PIXMA TR 8620a. It is asking for the Admin password. I can't find it. Where can I find it?

The admin password is the serial number of your TR8620a.

When entering the password, please use all capital letters.

I have the same problem.  The password TR8620a isn't working, nor is the serial number.  

And is the user name my name or 'ADMIN'?  Thanks.  Frustrating!

On the printer itself, go to Settings > Device Settings > LAN Settings > Print Lan Details (wording may vary) > Select OK/On to print the password in plain text.

On that printout, near the top for me was Product Information > Default Password. Its a random string of characters that is NO WHERE on the box/printer/manuals. Thanks canon...
