I had to re-install the printer software for my Canon TR8520 on my Macbook Pro (running MacOS Monterey 12). When I go to printer and scanners and click add printer, I see Canon TR8500 series. I then click on that and in the section labeled Use, it just lists Canon TR8500 series but I don't get the option in the dropdown menu to select Secure Airprint. So I am not able to add the printer and use it now. Can someone advise me on what to do?

Hi DBrown33,
Once in the Add Printer window, click one time on the Canon TR8500 series that appears in the list. Once selected, choose "Canon TR8500 series" from the Use drop down list and then click Add.
Your PIXMA TR8520 will then be installed on your Mac.

I had the same issue with the TR4720. I even tried to download the driver from Apple. It isn't showing as an option. Why isn't apple supported by Canon?

If there are issues with the drivers from a year ago....this means you don't care about Apple customers. What a disappointment. going back to the store tomorrow.
