Mac OS 26.2 I'm getting the message "An internet connection is required to download a larger version of this item for printing."  I have both good internet and wifi connections but I'm still getting this message.

Greetings ,

Typically, you don't need an internet connection to print, but if we're using a cloud service like iCloud OneDrive or Google Photos and are using compression to save storage space, you could need an internet connection in order for the application you are printing from to download the full image for printing.

If this is the case, try downloading the original (full size) image and save it to local storage before trying to print.  If this isn't your situation, we're going to need more information about your workflow to understand where the challenge is.

Thank you.  I'm just trying to print from Apple Photos.  I don't understand the issue because I can scan items and they save to my computer.

When you set up services like these Google Photos, iCloud etc, they give you 2 options.  Save images at full resolution or save at a smaller resolution (format) to save space. You'll have to review to see which you are using.  Local scan would save to your computer at full size.  This might not be true of photos.
