PIXMA TR4740 not responding

I have a TR4700 that is not responding.  I have reinstalled it and gone through all the procedures.  It will print a test page but whenever you try to print anything else it keeps saying printer is not responding. It is hooked up by a USB cord so it should not be a network problem.   I don't know what else to do.

Howdy!

Can you please provide the specific model of your printer? You'll see this on the top or front of the printer and it'll be something like TR47xx where the x's are different numbers!
