PIXMA TR4720 No display backlight, unresponsive controls

Canon TR4720. I HATE this thing!!!!

There is no instruction manual so every time I need to do something I need to go search the internet. Then there is no back light for the display so every time I try to use this POS I have to go scare up a flashlight. The instruction screen is like trying to figure out stereo instructions two words at a time. The right arrow appears but if you try to go right it doesn't work. Hitting OK doesn't do what I want. I tried to scan documents and the app just sits there with no interaction. I tried to update it but it said it was current. The **bleep** thing is not user friendly and it doesn't even shut off when you hit the power button. It will flash until you unplug it or knock it to the floor. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid I can't help with a backlit display, but if you'd like assistance, tell us what's going on and I'll be happy to try and help.

If you're using the printer with a computer, I'll need to know what operating system version and build.  If you're using it with a wireless network, please tell us more about your router and network hardware.  if you're using it with wireless direct and the Canon Print App, Please tell us about your mobile device. iOS, Android, etc.
