PIXMA MG3620 support for XL ink cartridges

Hello I'm feeling really stupid for posting this. I need help with printer ink. I've had my canon MG 3600 for a really long time. I barely use it but I need black ink. Now because I don't use it offen. Im not sure if the ink is right. I have in it the 240 XL fine black and the 241 XL fine color. I just having a hard time because on some of the printer ink l looked up my printer not mentioned so know im confused on it that the right ink. If it's not can some please tell me which on im supposed to use. Im not even sure im posting in the right community.

240 and 241 is the correct ink. XL is the larger cartridges.

Thank you so much. I don't know why I got the XL then lmao. I'll just look for that. 

The color CL-241 contains all the colors so why would one of them not print? In my case it's the red. Yellow and blue work but not red? How does this happen?

I missed this post, if you are still having a problem please create a new post since this one has a marked solution. However I think I can help you. You should run a nozzle/print head cleaning function and follow that with a test print. 

 

 

I don't know who marked it solved, but it's not. 

I did run all cleaning on the heads.

It was marked solved for the original poster. If you ran all the cleaning programs and the test page shows one color not printing, I suspect you have a bad color cartridge. 

Yes but I did not mark it solved. I don't know who did. I just got new cartridges in the mail so hopefully they will have the red.
