I just installed the Canon mg2500 on my Mac OS and it is not recognizing the printer.. What am I doing wrong? I've never had this much trouble installing a printer.

Hi, Coop0502!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which version of macOS is running on your computer as well as how your computer and your printer are communicating with each (i.e. Wi-Fi, USB, etc.). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Coop0502,
The PIXMA MG2500 series does not have the ability to be used wirelessly,
To use your PIXMA MG2500 series with your Mac, please connect a USB cable from your printer directly to your Mac.
Once connected, please follow these steps:
1. Click the Apple in the upper left corner and then System Preferences.
2. Click on Printers & Scanners.
3. Click the [+]. The Add Printer window will open.
4. Select the Canon MG2500 series and click the Add button at the bottom.
