PIXMA G620, not showing in Print dialog

This morning my Canon stopped showing up in printer dialog in my programs. The system says the printer is working and it shows up when I search for it in the system dialog but I can't select it as default.  I downloaded the driver again and installed as the Canon Inkjet software said no driver detected. I reinstalled the driver That  was labeled successful....but same problem above persists.

Hey there!

I'm sorry to hear you're having a problem with your printer.

Try to completely re-install the software as if it's new by going to https://ij.start.canon/g620
Follow the prompts. The site will uninstall any existing misconfigured instances and re-install the printer correctly.

You may have to re-start your computer, but the tool will let you know for sure.
After re-installation, if you still have issues, let us know!

Thanks! I will give it a try!

Okay. I tried to install the software twice and both times it ended in Installation failed. I then used the help button , windows is up to date as of  a check 3 hours ago and the APP simple says DRIVER UNAVAILABLE next to my G620. Whatever happened did not affect my other printer which is an Epson which I use for wider prints. It is still seletable.

Which version of Windows or macOS are you using?
Are you using WiFi or USB?

Drivers.pngWhen I bought the computer it said windows 11 but it always shows up as 10 . I am using USB and I am in the US. No problem until I woke up this morning. When I pull up the drivers for the printer...all of these show up. Is the right one on the list??

Does the software run on MAC OS. I may just switch to my MAC. I suspect some sort of windows update issue.
