My G6020 stopped printing colors the week after the warranty expired. Now I am looking for a company that can repair it.

Hi veeves,

Please make sure your inks are at least half full and then perform an ink flush with your PIXMA G6020:

1.  Turn your PIXMA G6020 on.

2.  Please press the wrench and screwdriver button on your G6020 one time.

3.  Repeatedly press the right arrow button to select Maintenance and press OK.

4.  Press the right arrow button to select Ink Flush and then press the OK button.

5.  Choose All Colors and press OK.

6.  Check the displayed message and press the OK button.

7.  Use the left arrow to select Yes and then press the OK button.

8.  Use the left arrow again to select Yes and press OK.

The process will take 6-8 minutes.  If it stops sooner, please perform these steps again.

Once complete, repeatedly use the left arrow to select Nozzle check and press OK.

The nozzle check should appear like the example attached below.

If colors still do not print correctly, the color printhead could be clogged.

The color printhead is available for purchase directly from Canon.  Please note, there are no refunds on parts purchased.  To access the shop to purchase a color print head, please use the link below:

There is no guarantee that replacing the printhead will resolve this issue.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
