PIXMA 432 for Mac

I have now spent the last 36 hours attempting to hook up this printer/scanner/fax to my IMac... to no avail.  I have actually gave up and figured i would hard wire it... even that doesnt work... im ready to retun this however logic tells me it is something I am doing (or not) and i certainly not a computer geek to figure this out.  If anyone out there has any information that i can hook this computer to the new printer (preferably wireless) would be awesome.. Unfortunately, do not send me to all the "help" and trouble shooting that is listed on the canon or the mac site as i have been there and done that..

Please tell us what errors have occurred when the set up fails on your Mac.  Document the errors exactly as they appear.

Also, tell us what version of OSX is on your Mac so we can try to assist you further.
