Did you mean:

Old Canon Pixma iP1800, is it usable? Ink stuck?

Hello everyone. I have Canon Pixma iP1800 that has not been used for 10 years. It has been siting in storage room crimped in plastic foil, so it has no dust anywhere. It has no cartridge since then.

So my question is:

Is leftover ink from 10 years ago somewhere stuck inside, is that possible?

I don't wan't to waste 12 € for cartridge to see it not working.

Greetings,

You need to dump it.

Here's why:

No drivers for this printer in development since 2013.

Will it work with modern OS > "unknown"

Parts / printhead no longer being manufactured

Might be clogged or non functional

Purchasing new inks might be a dead end

The cost in dollars and your time to "test" it would exceed the cost of replacement to something you know works, is compatible and has a forseeable useful life. Your choice.
