My new Cannon printer keeps asking for user intervention. What do I do+

To have a better understanding of your issue, please let everyone know the printer model you have, what operating system (Windows Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.X) you are using and if you are connected via USB or WI-FI. Also, is the error occurring on the printer directly or from your computer? What is the exact wording?
