New CP-910 can't directly connect to Windows 7 machine.

I'm trying to get my Selphy CP-910 set up and not having any luck.

I'm trying to print via my laptop the the printer two ways; direct connect and wireless via access point.

I'm doing the initial set up and when I fire up the CD with the drivers and follow the directions, I get to the point where the printer is being detected and it never gets detected.

It happens both with direct mode and access point mode.

Can anyone help?

This is solved.

I had to disable my windows firewall and windows defender anti-virus.
