Can it be done? My printer has to be at a poor angle for viewing the screen, and I am qiute elderly. To be able to view navigation screen via the computer desktop would be a great help.

Hello.

Here here at Canon USA are not entirely familiar with the MG6851 model.  However, it appears that you should be able to perform functions from both the LCD display of the printer and your computer.
