My MP970 prints only 2-3 lines at a time, then there are printing gaps

My MP970 printer suddenly started printing erratically.  That is, it prints a few lines of email and Word documents, then there are gaps with no printing of a few lines. I tried all the printer maintenance procedures available and also re-seated the print heads.  I have noticed that some Adobe Acrobat documents print perfectly,

If you have already performed at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings on the printer, as well as an automatic and manual print head alignment, the printer will most likely require servicing to resolve the issue.  Please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.
