My Canon iP8720 printer was working fine until three days ago when it started printing blank pages from any of my word processing files. HOWEVER, it prints a browser page perfectly and prints a test pattern of the color inks perfectly. But when I try to print a text page from Microsoft Works or Open Office it feeds paper and seems to be printing (from the noise inside the print chamber) but the pages come out completely blank, not a trace of ink of any color. I have tried the printer troubleshooting and uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, cleaned and aligned the print heads, updated the driver and other things suggested by Canon phone Reps. Nothing has had any effect. I have ordered new ink cartridges and am waitng for them to arrive. Any ideas?
