So I've been wrestling with this issue of the scanner not being found by the IJ Scan Utility Lite under Mac Catalina 10.15.7 where it wasn't finding the scanner and throwing the pop-up error:

I could print fine but could not scan. Printer was installed with Setup from the support page and added using Airprint Secure, but could not be found by IJ Scan Utility Lite. However my Windows box finds the scanner portion of the printer fine. I finally broke down and called support and I got it working. Specifically, IPv6 needs to be turned off on the printer. To do this:
And you're good to go. Hopefully this will save some frustration and time for others.

thank you. this did not work for me. anyone else? i just bought this printer. installed all the drivers etc. still does not recognize my computer for scanning.

in fact for some reason that just disabled the wifi on the printer. help!
