I just got a new Mac and cannot figure out how to set up scanning. I am using MP Navigator EX to scan and it does not recognize the scanner. Wireless printing is working just fine though.
In the Printers/Scanners tab, it shows the Canon MX710, but hangs there when I try to scan from that application.
I am pretty sure it is an "order of installation of drivers" thing, but I can't seem to figure this out.
Any assistance is appreciated.

I found the solution:
In the MP Navigator MX software, click on preferences and in the Product Name drop down, selecting 'MX710 series Network', rather than 'MX710 series'.
